Legal sourcing strategy: shop at more than one store!
Shopping at Harrods is comfortable. But you do limit yourself in terms of choice by frequenting only one store. Is that a bad thing? You may ask yourself.
Are you shopping for yourself? Then maybe not, but if you are buying on behalf of someone else, or if you are shopping with someone else's wallet, then you may not be doing an excellent job by only looking at what Harrods has got to offer.
Want to make sure you are buying the best value for money? Then you should at least visit more than one store. Nowadays that’s super easy because online marketplaces give you access to a vast and global market in one go. Allowing you to choose the exact offer that matches best. And in 9 out of 10 cases you end up getting better value for money.
The same applies to vacation homes and hotel rooms. Who still calls individual hotels or vacation homeowners to find out about availability and pricing? Nobody, right? You go online and select the best available hotels or houses in a few clicks.
Why don't legal departments use more technology when outsourcing work to their panel firms? Don’t they care about the budget? Or are there other reasons?
