PepsiCo partners with LawyerlinQ to launch its legal flex pool
Food company PepsiCo is starting its own legal flex pool.
Pauline Verheijen-Dop, Legal Director North West Europe at PepsiCo: “We have a high-quality and small-scale team of in-house lawyers, most of whom have broad in-house knowledge. However, the dynamics in our industry mean that the influx of work for our team varies greatly. Therefore, the flex pool of legal professionals enables us to scale up our service to the business at peak times and when specialized knowledge is needed. We expect the cooperation with LawyerlinQ to enable us to distribute the work extra effectively and efficiently.”
PepsiCo's legal department chose to partner with LawyerlinQ to establish and manage its flex pool of lawyers and interim legal counsel. The LawyerlinQ SaaS platform technology is built to easily match each piece of legal work with the right (external) legal professional at the right price.
Maarten Hagen of LawyerlinQ on the partnership: “PepsiCo's desire to further professionalize the flexible deployment of legal professionals is exemplary of the development that has been going on for years within the top of the legal business. We see that corporate legal departments are increasingly focusing on their core tasks. Additional knowledge and expertise are sourced from various providers or independent professionals. By deploying our user-friendly technology, we optimise this process and make it much easier and less cumbersome.”
